Some important rules while driving in Singapore

Singapore is well-known for being a spotless and gorgeous garden city. So as to keep this position, the government has affected strict rules so that visitors will be comfy while touring this country. Singapore is known as one of the famous tourist spot in the world. It's a place where you will have lots of fun, adventure and scenic beauty. It's a highly urbanized country and is famous for its strict traffic rules and regulations as there are several Singapore car rental companies.

While driving on the roads; speed limit, parking permissions and alcohol ingestion limits must be kept in mind. These are the basic rules and regulations which are required to be followed but the most important rule is that you should have a valid Singapore driving licence if you have a bike, car or any other vehicle. This rule is appropriate for permanent people or tourists as well. If you are a tourist then you should have a valid International driving permit. Before visiting the country you should read all its rules and regulations because it may differ from other countries policies. You should learn about the road circumstances of Singapore.

In fact, in Singapore driving is done on the left hand side of the road, lane markings are done all over the country roads. Using seat belts are very important while you are using car rental in Singapore or either personal car. Public transports are not so costly in the country. Mobile phones are not approved to use while driving. The minimum age that is needed for driving is 18 years and the vehicle insurance certificate and licence should be carried while driving.  The speed limit differs from one place to other and it must be about 50km/h on roads and 70-80 km/h on expressways. The drink driving limit is 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood. Even the vehicles are inspecting in Singapore on the basis of their age because vehicles between three to ten years are examined in every two years and a vehicle under three years doesn't require any type of inspection.

If you are not able to follow the traffic rules and regulations in Singapore, then you may face fine like penalty for reckless driving or for beyond speed limits or for not following any traffic light, etc. While talking on mobile phones while driving can show the way to jail. These rules are appropriate for companies of car hire in Singapore. There are different road signs like regulatory signs, information signs; directional and warning signs in Singapore and these are especially meant for adapting the traffic and for offering warnings against any danger.

However, some people say rules are meant to be broken but if you really do so in Singapore then you can spend rest of your life after bars. So, traffic rules and regulations are very essential and must be followed in the best promising way.
